FurtureOfTheClans: Deerleap

I was just sketching randomly when I decided I really like this character. I had re-watched Bambi so I thought about having a somewhat similar idea to it, except Deerleap is a cat. I really liked him and I remembered I had an invite from #Futrue-Of-The-Clans and they asked me to join, in which I accepted. I decided to use lil' Deerleap here and here he is Going to add his kits to his relationships as soon as I find all the apps for his kits xD

Update 8/20/13:
Re-drew Deerleap, but I kept most of the colors. Gave him a more handsome turf and I don't want to overpower his stats (tell me if it's overpowered). Gave him a Kingdom Hearts styled eye (because Kingdom Hearts is AWESOME! KH FTW). Forgot to add his scar last time, so I changed it.

[ Bio ]
0 – 6 moons (Kit aged)
Deer was born into the world along with his siblings. He lived in a pine forest in a side of a small town, taking residence in a burrow under a pine tree that once had belonged to a badger. Deer was taught in the forest how to hunt, learning techniques that no Clan Cat would use. One day Lucky did not return home from hunting and siblings and their mother waited for them to return. After three days, Wind goes to search for Lucky and finds out he has been killed by a fox. Feeling that she couldn’t protect her five kits by herself, she brings her kits into town to find a safe home for them.

6 – 14 moons (Teenager aged)
At a rest stop, Deer and his siblings went exploring, accidently going into a dog pound. After teasing a dog, the dog gets loose. Pines, the oldest of the siblings, manage to lead the dog away from his siblings, but dies in the process, to the horror of their mother. In the flurry of panic, Deer’s tail was bitten off by the tail, making him have horrible balance, but he manages to cope with it. Moving briskly, Wind manages to get her kits adopted by Twolegs, who had decided to keep all five kits. After a fond good-bye, Wind leaves her kits and disappears in a blizzard. The kits started to get spoiled, but Deer did not. After a while, he decides to run away from his Twoleg nest, because he did not believe that his father wanted him to relax after his father taught him so many things and ended up not using them. After a moon of thinking it over, he confesses this to his sister Truffles who tells him to do what his heart tells him to. He tries to convince Truffles to come with him, but she claims that she wasn’t good at hunting and would never survive in the wild for too long because she’s gotten used to living in luxury.

14 moons – 21 moons (Young adult aged)
Deer runs away during the cover of night after saying goodbye to his Twolegs and family and goes on an adventure to find a permanent place to live. He hunted for himself, which was difficult for someone his age. After wandering around for half a moon, he manages to finds the Clans, where he plans to join. After training himself in the wild, using his father’s style he finally musters up the courage to ask to join. After proving himself capable by catching a sparrow without his tail for balance, he joins as a warrior dubbed Deerleap because he has strong legs like a deer and that he leap while running, similar to how a deer runs.

21 moons - Present
Deerleap lives his life as a warrior and quickly makes friends with the other warriors, Spiritdancer and Feathermask. He enjoys the fact that he wasn't alone and that he greatly enjoyed living in a Clan. Soon he develops a crush on the CloudClan leader Flightstar and the leader returns the feelings. Now Deerleap is now mates with Flightstar and his happier than ever to have found the clans in the first place. He and Flightstar have four children, which Deerleap promises to protect with his life. One of the kits greatly resembles his deceased brother.

[ Personality ]
Deerleap is still a kid at heart. After his father died early in his life, he still acts as the most childish of his siblings. He is often bullied and beat down by his bully older brother, Badger because he was named after a “stick animal”. He has a strange way of fighting or running, often involving leaping up like a deer because Deerleap figured out he ran faster that way after observing deer running in the Pine Forest he had lived in. Most cats around him think of him as a joke and often bully the young cat; however he never minds. He has a modest and happy-go-lucky attitude. He has a tendency to get attached to trivial things, especially pine cones, remembering the death of his brother, Pines. He likes to joke around and goof off, often unintentionally annoying other cats around him. He is extremely naïve and likes to think that everyone around him is a friend, despite the fact that he knows that he might be bothersome. Despite these negative qualities, Deerleap is overall a responsible and kind cat. Deerleap wishes than nothing more to be the best warrior he can be. He is frequently plagued by the image of his brother being torn up by the dog and developed a fear of dogs. Otherwise, Deerleap is fascinated about Clan life and hopes that one day, he will finally fit in. After admitting his love for his leader and becoming mates, they have children soon after. He is extremely protective of his mate and of his kits. Deerleap will do anything to protect them, even if it means death. He names one of the kits after his dead brother, showing the strong attachment to his dead sibling.

"She's a really nice cat and I really like hanging out with her. She's the reason i was able to join the CloudClan."
Deerleap first met Flightstar when he attempted to join the Clans when he was still known as Deer, Flightstar hat let him join the CloudClan. After joining, Deerleap defended Flighstar from rogues and developing a crush on her. After a while, Deerleap and Flightstar confesses feelings for each other and accept each other as mates. Deerleap will do anything to protect Flightstar, even if it resorts to hurting himself in the process.

/Feathermask
"She's fun to hang out with and she's my sister. Well not really...but you know what I mean."
Deerleap met Feathermask and she is one of the first cats he met in the clan other than Flightstar. He likes to go on hunting patrols and playing around. Deerleap considers her his best friend. Since Pines is dead Deerleap and Feathermask had become "siblings" since Deerleap wanted to fill the empty gap that Pines had left and that Feathermask wanted a sibling. They are very close friends.

"She's a great friend. One of the few I have here, but I wish there were more like her that are nicer to me."
Deerleap is good friends with the she-cat and she was the one who showed him around the CloudClan territory after he joined the clan, since no one else wanted to. They often go on hunting trips together. Due to her kind heart, Deerleap wished that more of the Clan cats were nicer to him, since they often insult him since he was a kittypet.

/Pinepaw
"He hates me. Every time I walk by him, I can hear him hiss in contempt. Is Pines mad at me?"
Deerleap feels wary towards his son because he thinks that Pinepaw is the resurrection of his dead brother. And now that Pinepaw hates him, he feels like it was his fault Pines died and his spirit has come back to haunt him.

"He's a good cat. I can tell he is going to be a strong leader someday."
Deerleap was delighted that he was to teach his strongest son how to become a warrior. He plans to not only teach him the ways of the warrior, but the ways of the Pine Forest too, something Deerleap had inherited from his father. He plans to pass it down and hopes his son will become a great hybrid fighter from both cultures.
